Our People

Neil J McKelvie FRICS - Principal

Neil is the company Principal, having established McKelvie Lloyd in 1990. He is a building surveyor who is qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and an RICS Registered Valuer.

Having inspected thousands of buildings across the area over more than 35 years, Neil has extensive knowledge of building construction and defects. That knowledge, coupled with a strong eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to client advice, has led to many previous clients returning for advice over the years. He has a particular interest in historic buildings and is fortunate enough to have inspected some of the region's most interesting structures, some dating as far back as the Thirteenth Century.

Neil's wealth of experience allows him to carry out the full breadth of the Company's surveying services including residential, commercial and valuation work. Much of his time is spent undertaking Building Surveys across an extensive range of properties.

Anna E Robertson MRICS – Associate

Anna joined McKelvie Lloyd in early 2014. She is a Chartered Residential Survey and Valuation Surveyor who is qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and an RICS Registered Valuer.

Following a career as an Officer in the Royal Air Force, Anna trained as a Chartered Surveyor, making use of a background in Civil Engineering and further developing her longstanding interest in architecture and residential property.

Anna is currently responsible for much of the Company's residential valuation work in addition to residential survey work and reinstatement cost assessments. She is enjoying further developing her knowledge and understanding of the more complex historic buildings that the Company deals with.

Julie Bowes and Vanessa Briggs – Office Team

Invaluable secretarial and administrative support is provided by our office team. Julie has been with McKelvie Lloyd for 20 years and Vanessa joined more recently in 2015. Our friendly professional office team provide the first point of contact for prospective clients and deal with all ongoing communication in a prompt and effective manner.

Where we operate

Based in a rural location near to Shipston-on-Stour, our office is close to Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford on Avon and Banbury. The majority of our work is undertaken within a 40 miles radius, which includes properties across the Cotswolds and in Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, the West Midlands and Leicestershire.
